My Ninth Grade Experience
Over the year I have changed dramatically, I say this because I was scared that I wouldn't succeed like I was expected too. As the year progressed I became more comfortable and realized that I had nothing to worry about in the first place. Now that I am reflecting on this I am quite proud of myself because I conquered one of my biggest fears, beginning my high school career.
My Osprey Week
In my Osprey week, I was in the group called 'Change Through Art'. In this group I partnered up with one of my friends who was in the group with me. We made the decision that we would donate all of the money that we made from selling our art to Habitat for Humanity. Over the week we made 10 cuff bracelets, an abstract painting, and many small clay sculptures. I would say that my Osprey week was incredibly fun and productive.
How My Student Led Conference Affected My Education
Before I was even prepared for my SLC I knew that I was going to need a lot of evidence and that I know that I like to lose things very easily. My teacher gave me a paper that would help me meet all of the requirements that I would need to have a great presentation. I had a little trouble finding everything that I would need and I got all of the projects that I would need to have. It was really hard for me to be able to find the things that I needed and I was proud that I was able to get a lot of it together. All in all, I would say that my SLC went well and I am going to be even more prepared next time for my upcoming SLC. My parents couldn't stop asking questions, and instead of being there for twenty minutes like most people, I was there for at least forty minutes explaining everything that my parents had asked me.
