Greek Tragedy Play Project
This project was about taking a social issue from now and creating a tragedy about that social issue. We all had to do this and it was extremely hard to get the concept of tragedy. It was definitely a vigor process of refinement to cut out parts, and add in new characters, in the end we had only three characters and the whole story had completely changed. If there was one thing that I would change, it would have be that we don't really have two opinions in our play and that is something that would really change the perspective of the reader and make them think about the issue in depth.

Project Reflection
Questions and Answers:
1. What are you most proud of about your project and why?
I am proud of the fact that our project is all handmade, and it is original. Also, the fact that a lot of people had similar ideas of how to portray their social issue they had chosen, like making a video of their play, others decided to get clay or action figures and make that into their project. My partner and I really are proud of our project because it looks so different from everyone else’s final project.
2. What challenges did you struggle with while working with a partner and how did it impact the project? What did you like about having to work with a partner?
My partner had to go to Disneyland with her dance company, for two school days, and those two days were the last two days we were given to complete our projects. We had a plan that she would give our comic book to her neighbor who is a close friend of mine and when I got to school in the morning, I asked my friend if she had the book and she said that she hadn’t seen my partner at all that morning. I was definitely freaking out on the inside, and then I talked to my teacher and she said that I should contact her in any way that I could, and so I did and my partner dropped off the book, and I began to ink our comic. Over the weekend I had inked, colored and refined our graphic novel. I liked the fact that this whole project wasn’t all on my shoulders, and I was able to work with my best friend, and I had a lot of fun working with her.
3. What could you have done as an individual to make this project better? Give specific details.
I would have liked to be able to make this project better by having more time so we could have had more time to refine what we were going to do. Also, my partner and I decided that colored pencils would look best, but I would have liked to have time to have been able to do our comic in colored markers because that would be a lot more professional looking, but we decided that with the time we had colored pencils would be best with the time we were given.
4. What specific advice would you offer an incoming freshman about how to be successful at a project-based learning school? Be specific.
My advice for any incoming freshman would have to be that they really have to be creative and now how to use their imagination. The reason I say that is because if you aren’t creative and know how to use your imagination, I think that you would have an incredibly hard time when it came certain classes and the projects we did certainly took a lot of creativity to even become refined. There are a few things where being creative and having an imagination probably won’t help you, like in Algebra and Physics, you really need to get the concept of these two classes. If you are slacking off in class for one second and you miss a step of an algebraic equation, then you will be confused and would probably have to ask one of your friends or even the teacher to go over the steps to solve the problem. The incoming freshman shouldn’t be scared of the teachers, and should really go tell the teacher if they are confused and/or tell them that they should slow down in class.
